Final Episode: Ono Pops

For our last episode of Fatty's Food Around the Island, we found Ono Pops at Kakaako's Night Market. Ono Pops is a refreshing gourmet ice cream pop that combines a Mexican Paleta and Hawaiian tropical flavors. They are prime example of a successful local company that promotes sustainability. If you can't find them at a local farmer's market or food truck rally, you can find them at a local Foodland or Whole Foods. With unique flavors such as: Butter Mochi, Guava Chiffon, and Caramel Shoyu. The taste of these pops are, well, ono!

The Fatty crew heads down to the Honolulu Farmer's Market at the Blaisdell Farmer's Market. Vendors line the Blaisdell Center parking lot for the weekly farmer's market every Wednesday from 4PM-7PM. In addition to the locally grown food vendors, there are a variety of food trucks. We decided to try out Guava Smoke, Flavor Wave, Soul Patrol, and Hawaiian Styles Chili.

Episode 6: Magoo's Pizza

Ryan and Crystal stopped by Magoo's Pizza for some good eats located at 2105 S King S right next to the double yellow arcs. This old yellow bus serves up a kanack attack of a gourmet pizza. Thin crust, runny melted cheese, and fresh ingredients are a party in your mouth.

Episode 1: Eat The Street "Sausage & Cheese"

Our first episode. took place at Kaka'ako's 'Eat the Street'. Every last friday of the month, many of the food trucks from all over the island gather at this empty lot, located at 555 South St. from 4pm to 9pm. This event host's a theme, which was "Sausage & Cheese" today, but only a handful of trucks actually created a dish using those ingredients. Most trucks served their usual menu items that they're best known for. We scoped out the entire lot to carefully choose what we wanted to try, and also find any food truck owners who could spare a few minutes for our interviews!
